This fund provides assistance to Barberton residents selected to participate in the program, or by supporting the annual class project. This fund can also support Barberton residents participating in other leadership programs through Leadership Akron.
This fund benefits the Barberton Community Health Clinic.
The scholarship was created in 2005 when Barberton Elks Lodge 982, which served our community for 100 years, merged with Cuyahoga Falls-Akron Elks Lodge 1923. The Barberton Elks Lodge 982 Scholarship is given to four deserving Barberton students annually.
This fund assists Barberton Head Start (Akron Summit Community Action) with the cost of providing services. Head Start is a federally-funded program that provides school readiness and ensures that both low-income children and parents are prepared for kindergarten and for a life filled with learning.
This scholarship is available to two Barberton High School seniors who are selected based on academic achievement as well as the activities and service they performed during their high school careers.
