This fund provides funding for Barberton City Schools new synthetic field turf in Sharkey stadium. The Barberton All Sports Boosters Club sponsors an annual fundraisers to support funding. “Team Up for Turf” was one of the fundraisers held in 2018.
In 2013, Ben and Candace Curtis started the Ben Curtis Family Foundation after seeing a special on TV about food insecurity and learning about the growing problem in their hometown of Kent. The Ben Curtis Family Foundation believes it takes a village to end childhood hunger. That’s why their family is fighting this growing problem in Barberton as well as 11 other school districts in northeast Ohio.
Working closely with the Barberton School District for the fifth year they ensure any child who needs a Birdie Bag is receiving one. Each Birdie Bag contains 4 meals, 6 snacks and a travel size toiletry kit. Barberton receives between 1500-1600 bags each month during the school year as well as bags during the summer. Your support for the Barberton School District Birdie Bags will help us in our fight to alleviate child food insecurity in Barberton.
Established in 2016 by Josh and Tara Gordon, this fund assists with funding the Barberton City Schools Gifted and Talented needs for students.
This fund was established by Tom and Kathy Harnden to provide financial assistance to those individuals and/or organizations affiliated with Barberton City School District students who are participating in academically-related competition at the State of Ohio, the national, or international levels.
The Holiday Elf Now and Forever Fund supports the efforts of Barberton City Schools employees in providing food, clothing and gifts to students and their families for the holidays, as well as at other times of the year, as need is identified by the Schools.
