Barberton Police FOP Lodge #13 Service Above Self Scholarship
In 2025, the Barberton Police Department was named a Barberton Community Foundation Game Changer organization, recognized not just for public safety, but for a culture rooted in humility, teamwork, and service.
From that recognition, the Barberton FOP Lodge 13 Service Above Self Scholarship was created by Barberton Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #13 to recognize and uplift students who lead with character, humility, and a commitment to others.
The scholarship is open to any Barberton High School graduating senior who has demonstrated the principle of “service above self” through volunteerism, work, sports, or extracurricular activities. Rather than focusing on grades or career plans, the award celebrates students whose actions reflect integrity, compassion, and service.
Reflected here is a simple but powerful belief shared by the FOP and the Foundation: strong communities are built by people who lead by serving.
This scholarship will make its first $1,000 award in April, 2026.
