Nearly fifty years after the Barberton Magics captured the 1976 state basketball championship, the legacy of Coach Jack Greynolds continues to echo throughout the community. His leadership shaped not only a championship team, but generations of Barberton student athletes. Now his son, Jack Greynolds Jr., is honoring that legacy by establishing the Jack Greynolds GRIT Memorial Scholarship at Barberton
Community Foundation, helping carry forward the values his father championed: perseverance, discipline, and a belief in Barberton.

Scholarship Story

Driver's Education Scholarship

Learning to drive is an important step toward independence for many Barberton High School students. The Driver's Education Scholarship, offered through the Barberton Community Foundation in partnership with Barberton High School, helps reduce financial barriers that can prevent students from enrolling in driver education.

Through partial scholarships ranging from $125 to $325, the program helps offset the cost of Driver's Education courses provided by Myers Driving School, helping Barberton students gain the skills and confidence needed for safe driving and greater independence.
